The complex "Sonnenring" (sun ring) in the south of Sachsenhausen is known for its exceptional architecture of the seventies. Originally it was constructed as an apartment complex at the highest stage and still there live a lot of first-time buyers in the complex. Shopping facilities are in the near little shopping centre on Mailänder Straße, in the Schweizer Straße and along the Darmstädter Landstraße. With bus number 30 and 36 you can reach the Konstablerwache and Zeil in about ten minutes. To reach the airport or the city of Darmstadt, you don't have to drive through the city, but can drive in each direction fast, if you take the A 661.
